New to the forums. Hi!
I recently bought a new computer so using vista(64bit) for the first time.
I was messing around with the start menu trying to change the path on the shortcuts for pictures and music on the right side of the menu.I pointed to the wrong folder tried to change back and everything went pear shaped.
On one external I'm missing one folder but it hasnt been deleted the icon is just gone.
On the other external all my folder icons are gone.Its says the folder is empty but when I check properties the free disk spaced has not changed.
Now I cant use sysytem restore to roll back because i turned it right before this happened.I had read on a website that it could be the reason why my free space was going up and down.
So I'm doing a scandisk now but if that doesnt restore them what can I do to access my files?
