Closing Files

Hi, I am having trouble trying to close my folders, my computer, and other folders, when I choose file, close??, it just hangs??, I have to resort to closing by pressing the red X button top right hand corner to close whatever is open?, can somebody tell me what is wrong??, I have 4gb memory so there is enough resources??..hmmm??

Oh wow. I haven't used File->close in years.... I am going to guess that explorer is busy working in the background, so it might be better to just hit the X. Plus Vista doesnt even have a file close option in explorer windows...

What kind of CPU do you have? It could be that hanging.

Thanks Bob, I found out that Microsoft Live Mesh, I installed, was causing the problem, I have uninstalled it.Hmmm??, how to you close your explorer??. Thanks, anyway!

Open the task manager and select explorer.exe and click end process and then it will restart.

wait.... close explorer as in the program? I thought you meant the windows explorer tool, i.e. what you use to view your hard drive.

But to close the actual program, then yes, task manager. Glad to see you figured it out. Thanks for the Rep.
