| Member | Readyboost on or off Hi Is ready boost doing anything when I don't use it with a flash device, or can i just turn it off in the service manager. If yes, what does it do? And if there was a flash drive would it then still have other purposes. Thanks |

| Member | Re: Readyboost on or off In services it says nothing about dependencies but if I read "Inside the Windows Vista Kernel: Part 2" correctly Readyboost is used by Readyboot - seems like that wont be working if you disable? How big a loss is another question. If not true trace files in Prefetch/Readyboot folder should be renewed as you boot away. |
