Hi

How can we just turn only 3 buttons of window vista: "minimize, maximize, and close" into Mac OS X style?

I just would like to change ONLY 3 of them, do not need to turn the whole system into MAC.

Thanks you very much.

The visibility of those buttons are determined by the application developers, when they create the window styles.

Unless you're willing to learn some reverse enginerring and hacking skills, if an application has been designed with all three buttons, or various combinations of them, or none at all, then only the developers of that application can change that.

Unless the application itself provides the option of customizing them...

It does not sound very good for my plan. But I hope that I can use Resouce hacker to try to do it. Well, should I begin with the file explorer.exe? In fact, I have not got almost nothing reverse enginerring and hacking skills.

And can I install a software which turns the whole system Vista into MAC, then copy related stuff to these buttons, for instance, the file "explorer.exe...", I guess, then uninstall that software and paste copied stuff to Vista system.

If the Vista system does not allow we do it while it is running, I can boot Ubuntu Linux and paste it. Sorry if my post is very very newbile. I just use Vista for exactly 2 weeks.

Thanks

I would't recommend doing any kind of resource hacking yourself, and you will forgive me for saying so, but you don't sound like you're experienced enough to get it right.

So the safest recomendation I could make would be to visit the WinCustomize website, and see if they have something for you that someone smarter than either of us has already made...
