Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer not working in vista

It says, Done downloading security update information then stops.

Hi mc1548,

Does it stop completely? Chances are that you think that it has stopped whereas in reality it is still running. You need to give the program chance to execute. I have just run it on my system and there is a considerable pause at this point, but then it continues without any problems.

I’ve been trying to get it to work since I bought my new laptop 11-21-08 & I’ve let it run for an hour a few times & all night once.
