Takes two "starts" to bootup or wakeup hiberate

On startup, or waking from hibernate, or restarting: Intel splash screen appears then the blinking little cursor in UL corner that blinks forever. Never proceeds.

I must hold down shutoff button on laptop until all lights are out. Key button again, and vista starts.

This never happened until I was forced to use the unspeakably horrible recovery vista CD.

Since then, many problems that have been mostly fixed except for this one.

It's not a showstopper, just annoying, but I fear something else is wrong--again--and will cause other problems.

You know, I had the same problem. After I spent about an hour messing with my hard drive and plugged it back it, it went away!

Check your HDD connectors, and maybe make sure it fits right.
