at the user profile page, i type in my password and it says welcome, followed by a blackscreen and i was brought back to the user profile page again and i am required to type in my password again. this goes around in a loop. can someone help me please?

You might see if doing a System Restore at startup using a restore point dated before this problem can fix it for you.

Can't login to user profile with NO error message
Hey guys, i had been having this problem since morning. Here is the situation. My laptop was working fine until i changed the theme. Previously, i had changed the theme alot of times and nothing happened. I downloaded all this theme from deviantart. So, I downloaded this theme package and it came along with a 'browseiu.dll' file and it is supposed to change the 'back', 'forward' button in my laptop to match the theme. So i followed the steps on the instruction. I got to download a program which allows me to take control of files with ease, so i went on to this website,

After that, i got to launch it and click add, browse for the browseui.dll file in cdrive-window-system32 folder, open it and do the same with Explorer.exe which is in cdrive-windows. After that i got to go to cdrive-windows-system32 and find file named browseui.dll and renamed it to browseui.old. No, you should not, but you might see if you can boot into Safe Mode (if need to) first to back them up to be safe.

In Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder that the files are in (ex: C:\Users\(user name)\Documents) , then just copy them to DVD or some other backup media.
