Is it possible to access this so called clipboard Vista uses for such things as Snipping Tool and cut/copy recent history? I DESPERATELY NEED to recover something I've cut from my web coding!
The clipboard in Vista will only remember the last item that you placed (copied) in it. When you place (copy) something new in it, the last item is automatically deleted. I hope that you have not copied anything else since then.
You might use the free program ClipMagic for the future. It will allow you to keep and view the future contents of the clipboard like you are wanting here afterwards.
sigh.
Perhaps i should use a program like that you suggested.
I cut the content i was looking to move. Saved the document, then the program crashed- my machine is pretty unstable at the moment, as you can read it my BSOD thread.
So when reloading the program and file, i couldn't paste nor undo my cut command.
I cant find any temp files or backups the program may have made either.
Such a small action has had some terrible consequences...
It would be in my browser cache if i hadn't set it to clear on close.
If it is a long or complex document, I suggest that you save it (with slightly different names e.g. test, test01, test02 etc). That way, you don't have to start again, and can resume from the last version you saved.
