An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.
I'm currently using Vista Home Premium 32 Bit. About a week ago, I downloaded the Windows 7 Beta. It worked fine for a couple of days, but then I suddenly got the error message above, when restarting up after a Windows update. (can't remember which)
I then proceeded to use my recovery disc, to reset the laptop back to it's original factory settings. Everything is back the way it was, with Vista running. I'm all caught up with the updates. But now, whenever I shut down completely, it still happens. So every time I restart my laptop, I have to use repair button on the recovery disc. But it doesn't remain permanently repaired, after it's shutdown, and I restart it again.
I'm not sure if it matters, but I only have a recovery disc, without a separate Vista disc.
Is there an easy way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
