| Vista 64 | Font Issues hampering work... need help! Hi there. My work uses Cyrillic (Russian), and I've been using it for years with XP. However, I just switched to a new computer and Vista 64 and have run into a wall of problems that I hope will be easy to fix. But I'm not entirely sure what to do, thus the post. Hope there are some smart people here I also hope this doesn't sound too confusing, and if it does let me know and I'll try to issue any questions.I have Word documents that use Cyrillic Russian Bookvar and also switch to English and use the Bookvar font. The problem is when I'm editing the Russian, it automatically switches it to Times New Roman (still in Cyrillic, but it switches the font and I need it to stay in Bookvar)! What's mind boggling is while it switches to Times New Roman when editing, if I'm typing NEW words when set to Bookvar, it switches to Calibre! In addition, if I hi-light the entire text and switch the font to "Bookvar" all the letters disappear and are replaced by squares. Now, I checked and I do have Bookvar in my Fonts directory, so I have absolutely no idea what's going on. Help! |

Help! ![]() In Word 2007, you can do this by selecting the text for which you want to change the language, click on the "Review" tab on the ribbon, the click "Set Language" in the proofing section. If you are starting a new documents, just go to Review, Set Language. See if that helps... |
