Vista - sfc/scannow error..help plzz

i ran sfc/scannow n i get this error...

help me to fix this error....

Have a look at the following Tutorial: System Files - SFC Command It contains details on how to read the log files so that you know where the problem lies.

Black Mamba: When you type in the command there is a space between the sfc and the /.

Its not all one big string.

sfc /scannow

thnx for ur precious reply....sir i read it n that is applicable when a 100% scan is completed in my case on 98% the process hault...so help plzzz

Hi black mamba,

Since it is not completing the scan, have you tried running it in Safe Mode?

i tried in safemode n this time it ended on 99%....no idea wats going on help plz..??

May be an idea to use SP1.

Try "sfc /verifyonly" and see log after wards.

sir i ran sfc/verifyonly n still it got stuck on 99%...here is the pic

im thinking to attach CBS log ....should i ???

You could delete it and make a new sfc /scannow or /verify - if it is too big.

Why you have not upgraded to SP1 already? Dont make much sense to troubleshoot this if whatever bug is fixed in Servicepack. Only one way to find out.

thnx alot....im soo foolish is did nt update my system to sp1 n after doing it everything is solved...
