I was just reading your article on removing a user account from the startup logon screen. I did that, and confirmed that the account Login was gone from the startup screen (by locking myself out of my account). I have a fingerprint login enabled on my computer, so I was able to log back in. I then deleted the SpecialAccounts folder and shut down my computer, but yet it did not bring my login back. I tried recreating the SpecialAccounts folder and inputing a value of 1 in the entry to my username to make it visible, but this did not work either. I enabled the built-in administrator account, but could not log into it either since it doesn't show up on the login screen. Could you please assist me with this.
I tried it regularly and in safe mode and neither worked. I even tried it as an administrator in safe mode. What was really weird is that even after I enabled Administrator, the Administrator's picture doesn't show up on the startup screen. The only way to get to the Administrator is through Safe Mode. The only way I am logging in regularly right now is through my Fingerprint software or Rohos USB security key (which I had to use to login to the Administrator account in Safe Mode too since it doesn't read any text input, but the USB key can input my password). The original article I was referring to is http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/94805-user-account-hide.html
I was thinking of doing system restore, but I was hoping that this forum could help me before I had to do that. I purposely hid my login picture to make it more secure, but when I wanted to revert, I found that I couldn't. That is the entire problem. Feel free to reply to this thread if you need any more info
