Transfering files from XP into Vista after crash!

OK I need some serious help I think. My old XP machine crashed badly (corrupted windows after update). So I bought a new machine. It has vista. I've reinstalled my software. I have two hard drive one with both with XP running and tried to get the data off them with an external hard drive. Copying my files has worked fine for office documents, other relevant software documents and pictures.

But :

1. None of My Music shows any music files???? Just the album covers. I don't want to have to rip my entire 3000 + CDS again. We're not talking downloaded music but real music I own, I'm seriously confused here.

2. I can't get my Outlook information. One drive was running Outlook 2007 (but I suspect the files are corrupted). The good news (and bad news it appears) is that my older drive running 2003 has most of those corrupted files except three weeks of data. I am now again running 2007 and last time I imported the files from Outlook 2003 to Outlook express then into 2007. Now no Outlook express, Now what?

Thanks for any help, If I posted in the wrong arena, please let me know where I should be posting.

Thanks,
