Vista Home Premium 8GB ram

Hello there!

First things first. I'd like to say I'm not really computer-minded and I don't know a lot about it. I'm sorry for that. This means the answer will be most likely easy to most of the readers here. If it's a difficult solution, then please keep in mind I'm not so good with computers ( I do know the basics though ) and try to explain with as much details as possible. I'd like to thank you for this! I'd also like to aplologise for my English not being so perfect

So here's my problem :

Last week I've brought my computer to the shops for them to install a new graphic card, new ram memory, a new CPU and new power supply.

Before I brought it to the shops, I had the following specs :

2 GB ram 666Mhz (2x1GB)
Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard
ATI Radeon x1950 Pro graphic card
A 400 watt power supply
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz
Windows Vista Home Premium

After the installation, I had the exact same specs, only the following changed :

Processor => Intel Q6600 2.4 Ghz
Graphic card => Nvidia N260 GTX
Power supply => 750 watt
Memory => 8 GB Ram DDR2 800 Mhz ( 4x2 GB )

I also asked the guy to format my pc due the fact it was rather slow the last few months.

So I received my pc back the day before yesterday. Everything went well untill I had a BSOD. I ignored it and rebooted, but now I have those BSOD's very often ( sometimes I just get it when I boot my computer ). So I started to note down the errors and google it after. it turned out I received lots of different errors such as :

- 0x0000003B
- 0x0000001A
- 0x0000000A
- 0x0000001E
- 0x000000C4
- 0x00000050
- 0x00000109
- c000007b

And there was some text as well such as IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and PAGE_FAULT_IN_A_NONPAGE_AREA ( these are the ones I remember )

And I'm sure there were others which I forgot to note down. I googled those errors and it turned out they have something to do with my 8GB memory but I never found a solution and as I said before, I'm not really good at it so I'm probably not going to find the solution by myself. that's why I hope you guys can help me fixing this nasty problem.

thanks in advance and I hope to see a reply soon!

Welcome to the forums Quixxx.

Your problem is actually fairly common. Both the errors you mentioned above can be caused by RAM. But because you changed so much at once, that makes it much more difficult to troubleshoot.

It could be that the new RAM they put in is bad, or that it is the wrong type. Now, you can test this yourself (its really easy) or you can take it back and make them fix it.
Take out all the new stick of RAM, and put in just the ones that were in there originally. Boot up with that, and if there are not BSODs then you know it was indeed bad RAM, and they should fix that for you.
If you are not comfortable removing the RAM (all you do is literally open the case and push the two levers on each side. Its real simple) then take it in and tell them the problem. They should fix it for free.

As for the other BSODs up there, the first can be caused by the graphics drivers or nonpaged memory. You can try fixing the nonpaged memory, let me just check how...
By the way, don't try fixing any of the other errors until the RAM issue is solved. I think they are all caused by that.

Ok to fix the nonpaged memory, follow this tutorial.

The second BSOD is also a RAM one, though much more serious.
The third is the nonpaged memory error
The fourth could be hardware compatibility. The RAM could cause this, or something else entirely
The fifth is a driver problem. Without more info on the BSOD, I can't tell you what. This could be related to one of the other BSOD's caused by a bad graphics driver...
The sixth is the page fault.
The seventh is either a bad driver, or incompatable hardware. Once again, the RAM.
The last is entirely different, a boot device failure. This could be a bad HDD connection, or something else, but we will deal with that after the RAM gets fixed.

Alright thats all I have for you now, get back to us later.
