Vista - Computer wakes up from sleep

When I enter sleep mode my computer goes into sleep mode but immediately comes out of it again. This is both before I followed the steps in this tutorial and also after I have setup normal sleep as explained in this tutorial.

Can anyone help please.

Yes, I had already checked through the tutorial and changed to the recommendations for normal sleep mode. All other items in there checked out OK. The problem was the same before and after this.

When the computer wakes right back up, what does STEP FOUR at that link reports as waking up the computer?

Also what does STEP FIVE show as able to wake your computer?

It looks like it may be your mouse that is waking up the computer.

As a test, uncheck the "Allow to wake computer" option for the Mouse in Device Manager (STEP SIX), then see if the computer will still wakeup.

I unchecked the "Allow this device to wake the computer" which was checked.

"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" was there but greyed out,

After this the problem unfortunately still remains.

You could try 'Control Panel - System and Maintenance - Performance Information and Tools - Advanced tools' and check if there is a message in top of that window indicating any driver interfering with sleep mode. Hope it is available in Home Premium. While you are there, you could generate a System Health Report.

I have also followed this procedure with "HID Keyboard Device" and "High Definition Audio Controller" and it also made no change.
