Solved Taskbar Disappears When Maximizing Any Window !!

CityStars

New Member
Hi ...

I had this problem recently , when i open any window ( Windows Explorer, Firefox, IE ... etc ) my taskbar disappears without a reason. On the other hand when i minimize all the applications the taskbar appears again  this is so annoying because i cant switch between my applications easily and i must press Alt+Tab to switch between them, besides i love the presence of the taskbar so i can see the time, in breif the absence of the sidebar makes me pissed off.

this is my normal view of the disktop ( When everything is minimized ) :

disktop1zc1.jpg

but when i maximize any window the taskbar disappears and the view SUCKS and looks like that:

disktop2ek4.jpg

Can anyone help me please with this as i tried everything possible, note that the Auto-hide the taskbar option is not enabled.

Thanks in advance.

Hi again, another thing i discovered now, maybe helpful for solving the problem i face.

please look at the view of the Media Player when running a movie in normal screen:

mplayer1ek9.jpg

and this is the view in full screen:

mplayerfullscreenrn4.jpg

The video is not centered and the black area is only at the top ( the picture is pushed down )

this is now a huge problem as i can not watch movies on my PC because of this problem. please provide help as soon as possible and would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

You could try going to start menu properties, autohide the taskbar, Apply, Ok.

Then go to start menu properties and deselect it , Apply, Ok.

Hope it helps

In addition to SIW2's post above, you might check to see if you have taskbar always on top enabled.

YES !! it works 100%, thanks Shawn. i think i am so stupid not to think about the always on top option although i saw that box unchecked, thank you Shawn again and for all the respected members who shared their time and knowledge.

PEACE !! :)
