when u start up ur pc it press whatever key to get into the bootmenu
then choose the dvd to boot from it
press enter
then it will ask u what drive to install it in
choose ur drive u want. the partion drive
go throught setup
after it done. restart
at the bootmenue iit will ask u what os
choose the new one
prss enter

Ok, there is a very slight complication installing XP after Vista.

If you install an older o/s after a recent one, the old one doesn't know the recent one exists.

You will not be able to boot straight into the more recent o/s.

I would use Vista Disk Management as per this tutorial :

Install Windows XP on Your Pre-Installed Windows Vista Computer :: the How-To Geek

you can get VistaBootPro from here free :

VistaBootPro | System Resources Tune-Up. Download | PC World

or you can do the same with Easybcd :

Hope it helps
