IDS_ALREADY_INSTALL_VER1_MSG1 string missing

I got this message while trying to install vista version of a program.
What exactly program name?

Check you have still folder where this program was -if still exist of course you have romoved.

Check also subkeys in HKLM\Software and HKCU\Software ->in this keys you may have something remains from this program

The name of the pragram is "Turkcell Connect". It is a pcmcı card program that connects the laptop to the internet directly. I have the xp version of it. When I bought a new laptop with vista business, ı mistakingly tried to install this program--an xp version--from its original cd to new laptop that runs on vista. I realized my mistake and tried to cancel the installation before it was completed.

I later downloaded the vista version of this program and tried to install it on my new laptop and got the message which ı showed in my original post.

Thanks for your help.

Try to remove it using CCleaner.

I tried all of what is recommended in previous posts, but I still get the same error message.

Solution?
Check manualy also subfolders in these folders:

C:\ProgramData
C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Local
C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Roaming
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming
C:\Program Files
C:\Program Files\Common Files

I have checked all these items manually, found "Turkcell Connect" in C: Program Files and manually deleted that folder. No success unfortunately.

Again use CCleaner - may only orphans remains from this folder. If still no help again run RunScanner and check all entries (non-orphans)

I see only two ways for you:

1.Trivial:Use System Restore to back to any checkpoint before you install this problematic program

2.Drastic method to continue looking remains:Run cmd.exe with administrative previlliges and type

C:
cd\
dir /s /b >C:\all.txt

Because all.txt will be to big to attache here you have to upload this file on RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
If you want I can try to view on your system my own eyes

My Computer

To run cmd.exe with administrative previlliges you have to right click on cmd.exe i choose "run as administrator (figure below)

How can anyone to see this image if this image still exist on your computer and you don't have own server -even if you have own server computers in the net are identyfied by IP address or www (for example www.vistax64.com) -everybody have C:\<deep path> :sleepy: - but will be enough theory...
In mostly situation then you don't have own server (like by you) you have to host it image on a special server for images for example ImageShack® - Image Hosting
Or just only attache image to post here - our forum have this ability
Vista Forums - FAQ: Reading and Posting Messages

See tutorial how to elavate cmd.exe in Vista
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/181765-elevated-command-prompt.html

When you at last run cmd.exe with administrative previlliges make these command which I gave you

My Computer

First command are wrong typed (whats was this error message) but other are correct. This command don't return any message if everything work OK.You should have already file all.txt which I desire directly on C: drive
