memory set to 2.1

am stable with prime 95 and orthos for 12+ hours



when i was running at 3.7 until prime 95 gave me an error with auto vcore i never hit higher then 55c i keep on bsod with an over clock of 3.8 so am trying 3.7 fsb 1666 and will see how that goes i have the vcore at 1.45

what em i doing wrong? prime 95 keeps failing?!!! after 3 min orthos after 6 min

fsb 1666 1.4v
vcore at 1.45
memory 2.1v and timming is 5-4-4-15-2t

Keep the RAM timings relaxed until you find a stable speed for your CPU.

I would leave the FSB voltage alone. Mine is at 1800MHz and I have never touched voltages. I have had it as high as 2GHz and still no voltage modifications.

Many people believe that the more voltage they put in, the more stable their system will run. This is completely fake!

If a human has loads of carbs and they don't burn them off, they put on weight.

A CPU just burns pins (and the eight pin power connector (Celeron 1.8GHz @ 4.0GHz)). If you put all that extra juice in, that isn't getting used, it will actually reduce your stability.

:sarc:...... as you up your FSB it will reach a point where the CPU needs more power to hold the higher frequency..... same goes for your RAM.


as Everlong has stated..... set your RAM timings to 6-6-6-18, this will allow you to play around with the FSB & its voltages without your RAM holding it back..

once you find your CPUs highest ''stable'' clock, you can then start tweaking your RAM config

1.4v VCORE is fine for that chip, be careful with your RAM voltage...RAM is very delicate where voltage is concerned...

Yes CPU needs juice... Northbridge does not until you go over stock FSB by some large(r) amount. My FSB at stock runs @ 1333mhz... at 2GHz I need to add more voltage; however when my FSB is at 2GHz my E6750 is @ 4GHz so neither like it much.

My computer is perfectly stable with an FSB of 1.8GHz and no FSB voltage change. I do however have to change the voltage of my CPU to get it to be stable. If I set my vcore to 1.5v with NO frequency change then my computer becomes unstable. Same with my FSB. If I up the voltage to my northbridge, when I don't need to, my computer becomes unstable.

TBH if you keep your RAM at a lower frequency but tighter timings you will actually see a bigger performance improvement over higher frequency and loose timings.

yes, use lower RAM speeds, and tighter timings. Have you disabled Intel Speedstep and C1E in the BIOS
