This just started. A USB cord that I got with my Garmin GPS has become my primary cord for all my peripherals and has worked swimingly with my Crackberry since I got the comp two weeks ago. About ten minutes ago I put it in and got a "USB Device Not Recognized BY Windows" and my Crackberry wouldn't show up in the Device Manager. I pulled the unit out (that's what she said [sorry, been studying all day]) rebooted both the phone and comp, moved to another port and tried again. First the cord by itself and got the hooked up sound followed by an unhooked sound and a balloon from the system tray saying "USB Device Not Recognised..." and then got no response when I attached the Crackberry.
Oh, for a bit, without anything being attached I got the same message and the sound you get when something is hooked then unhooked. This happened a few times.
So, right as I started typing, actually after "This just started." I went and got another USB cord and it started working fine.
I continued with this post thinking this could grow into a bigger prob down the road. I never have continued luck with synching phones.
What gives?
