Restore from factory settings

Hi,

my laptop was accidently restored to the factory settings and everything is gone. Is there anyway to recover any of my files from the factory setting? Please help!

Thanks

Re: Restore from factory settings

Hello Lori, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Since restoring to the factory default Vista installation involves formating the hard drive, the files will most likely be gone. You may be able to take it to a professional data retrieval company in your area to see if they may be able to get them back for you, but it will not be cheap and it may not work.

Sorry,

Shawn
