Solved Error when booting system. BSOD?

I am using and Acer Aspire 3680 notebook with windows vista OS.
Don't really know any more specifics about RAM and such.

This is the real problem.
When i start my computer, The "ACER" windows comes up, and goes away. The screen goes blank for a second, and then a black screen with a typing cursor comes up, almost like I'm using the command prompt. Duting this time the computer mostly goes quiet. The little harddrive light flashes.
At this point one of two things happens. A: The computer starts and goes on its way. Without a hitch.
or B: The computer just stays on this screen. The fans keeps running, but nothign happens. If I just left it be, I'm sure it would stay on this screen. This happens 9 times out of 10.

Usualy when this happens, I restart, and use F8 to bring up that little boot menu and start windows that way. This usualy works.
Once, I got the dreaded "Blue screen of death" but that was right after i logged in.

Now, Lately i noticed when the desktop come up, a message shows up:
"eDatasecurity failed to load." Blah blah blah.
I have a feeling whatever drived this^ software is causing all my problems.

Obviously, I'm not very computer literate.
Help?

eDataSecurity Management is an Acer feature that appears to be corrupted. Try a system restore to a point before the issue occured (if said restore point still exists), you may have to access advanced recovery utilities on your disk/recovery partition if unable to boot into Windows.

I recommend once you gain access to your system that you delete eDataSecurity. Here is a download to reinstall It (If you choose to)http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/fo....com&siteid=7117&words=all&keywords=&areaid=2

If that fails; reinstall Vista from your recovery disk/partition, and restore data from your Vista file backup utility (If you have been regularly been performing backups)

Well. I guess it hasn't worked.
I am still having the boot problem.
I guess I will just have to follow your advice and just reinstall vista.
