Solved Sticky Notes mistakenly deleted from all programs

New Member
Hey all, I got myself into a little predicament. I was messing around dragging sticky note off the start menu and onto "objectdock" (if you know about it it's like the mac os dock for vista). So, from here to there I end up deleting it from the all programs menu but I still have the shortcuts. How can I restore the original shortcut the used to be in all programs menu? Please and thank you!

PS. The program still runs and everything but I just want it back in the menu :(

You may make a new short cut by right click on the program then select where you like a new short cut to send to. Or, restore system to an earlier restore point before you mess with it.

Okay so I put the copied shortcut into Program files and it shows up on the menu now but it doesn't appear when other users log in. Any ideas?

Hello Jabbar,

You can place a copy of the shortcut in the C:\Users\Public\Desktop folder to have a copy place on all user's desktop, then the other users can copy that shortcut from their desktop to where they would like to use it instead.

Thanks for the help, that fixed the problem. It was just bugging that it wasn't the "original" icon, crazy I know lol. It's just those little details that I like about vista; when you hover the mouse of the default programs you get the info balloon that explains the program, now I only get the name and file location. Oh well, it's not perfect but it works. Thanks again.
