Laptop Running at 70C

Hi,

I have noticed that my laptop is running around 65 - 70c where as it use to run at 55 on XP is this normal for this type of laptop running Vista? Specs below.

Does Task Manager (Processes tab) indicate that you have a process that's consuming a significate amount of CPU? A background processes that's consuming 100% of a core will generate a lot of heat.

laptops are no longer called laptops because of this reason, theyre now called notebooks, so people dont get the illusion that they are supposed to sit on their laps, im sure most people dont but there are a few people who do and moan about overheating issues, but nonetheless your laptop was designed for xp i assume, which means you have had it a while, my judgement on this tells me your fans are clogged with dust from over the years of usage
