missing hal.dll in ultimate 64

New to Vista and this forum; Just build this system: asus p6t deluxe,I7core 2.6 mhz, 12 gb ram ddr3 1600 corsair, ATI radeon 4870 1 gb, corsair 750 watts, 2 640 HD sata raid 0, running on vista ultimate 64, is only one week old and twice during boot have to use repair because of: missing or corrupt file=windows root\system32\hal.dll; please help me.

have you tried using the windows vista dvd to do a repair or downloading a repair disk.

You should fill out the System Specs part of your profile as quick as you can.

    I like Spore,Rabbits and I'm a Computer Freak.
I did and sometimes it works fine, repair does the job, sometimes it tell me it can not repair the problem, "no OS found" anyway I reboot and works fine, still I am lost this is bran new system when it works is ok but i do not want to turn it off; what else can i do, when I use command prompt in "repair" and navigate to system32/hal.dll the file is there, should i get a new copy from some place? please help me..

I believe hal.dll has to do with hardware, the problem is more frequent when i leave my external hd "on" and reboot, but still occurs when the hd is off.
