Recovery error!!!

Hi!!!
I have compaq presario 769us. I did dual booting in my laptop and now when I try to make recovery CD's. I get the error "recovery partition could not be found" but the recovery partition is still lying there and it works also when i make it active...Please help......

Is this the 1st time that you have made recovery disks, as this is a one time only operation, after being run once it stops being an option.

The other thing that may be causing is some form of corruption caused by the dual boot, I have seen certain OEM recovery option fail to work correctly unless the partitioning of the drive is exactly the same as was shipped

Yes this is the first time i want to make the recovery disks...I have never made the discs before.......I should have made the discs before dual booting:(

What I would probably do is contact HP and let them know that your system refuses to make the disks, they may be able to supply you with copies - especially as there is no reason for them not to work ;)
