Vista Home Basic 32 Bit to Vista Ultimate 64 bit?

Hi, I recently bought Vista Ultimate 64 bit and I'm gonna install it on my computer which is currently running vista home basic 32 bit. My question is simple, will I lose all my hard disk's data or will it still be there after the upgrade? Thanks!!

EDIT: I know there is other posts like this but they mention nothing about 32 bit and 64 bit

Hi sanine,

Sorry to say that the upgrade from a 32bit to 64Bit operating system is not supported.

I would suggest that you either set-up a dual boot between the two systems until you get the 64 bit running satisfactorily. or back up all your data and wipe the disk for the 64 bit install
