All my icon on my Vista are same. Help

All the icons for different application or program on my Desktop and in Start Program became just one same icon. Re-create short cut not working and I have tried to rebuild icon, but not good. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Can you post screentshot of this to help us determine what may be the issue? Are these all shortcut icons?

If you have tried to change or remove the shortcut arrow, then restoring the shortcut arrow may be able to help.

Hi, All my icons (Winamp, Adobe, Norton Anti-Virus,...all of them) has became the icon of msn messenger. When click on it, it open up msn messenger. It is not just icons on my Desktop, it also have the same thing at the Start-All Program. However, if I go into the Program File, it show its orginal icon of the program or application (.exe file and others). I can click on them. But when I create a short cut to Desktop, it became the icon of my msn messenger at the Desktop. It also wouldn't work if I change the icon by right click on the icon and choose property and change icon. It also won't work if I told it to open with other program (for example to choose winamp) because it change all of them to winamp icon.

It sounds like the .lnk (shortcut) file extension has the wrong association set to it. Click on .lnk in the table at the site below, and download and merge the reg file for it. It will restore the default shortcut association.
