Help! Error message during installation

I'm sick of Vista, so since I have extra 10 GB space I was thinking of installing XP on that, and if all goes well, delete Vista and make XP bigger. But when I go into installation, I get an error message for XP MCE, XP HOME SP2, and XP SP1 discs. It says I have a virus, even though I don't. I have gone through lots and lots of tests, everything is FINE! But still XP setup won't continue. 1 disc is slipstreamed (MCE) 2 (SP1,2) are as is. I give up!

Are you sure the discs don't contain a virus? Is it vista telling you there is a virus on the discs or on your computer? Is vista actually the one finding the virus or is it your third party antivirus software?

How do you expect to "delete vista" later and make xp bigger? And do you know you need separate partitions to install 2 windows operating systems on the same hard drive?

Yes I am well aware of all this. I already partitioned my drive (C: and D:) I have 3 different discs, so they can't contain a virus. I have scanned them. My discs give me the error, and I don't have a virus, XP thinks I do, though. NVM. I'll live.

I'm confused, I thought you had vista on your computer...are you saying xp fails install because it detects a virus on itself?

I'm assuming you are booting from the discs. How far into the xp install do you get before it gives you the error message?

I get past the "Press F6 to load SATA drivers..."

It doesn't matter anymore.
