Hi,
I am currently trying to get my English Vista Home Premium to read foreign texts without showing me all the gibberish broken texts. I was able to view web texts in Korean thanks to Microsoft IME (Easily selectable from control panel) and I can type in Korean. My computer, however, still has a problem reading some Korean texts. For instance, (computer noob, don't know a lot about technical terms) I still won't be able to read Korean texts found in Korean programs. If I was to open a notepad format filled with Korean texts, it would be viewed as gibberish from my computer. Any Korean texts outside of internet and MS Word comes out gibberish.
I've surfed this forum a bit, and I think I need to upgrade to Ultimate to do this. However, I do remember running into someone who had English OS and still can view any Korean text. (Possibly due to a software?) I heard many issues upgrading from Home to Ultimate, and I really don't need any other features other than simply reading Korean texts.
If you got any ideas, please reply. Thanks in advance...
Sincerely,
pekau
