Solved About installing Vista on someone else's computer...

I know I can only have one registered copy and that's on my computer but is it possible to have a working Vista on a friend's computer but without having to register it? I have the upgrade version of home premium SP1. I remember reading that it's possible to install Vista without registering for a certain amount of time and that the time can be extended. I figure they can't use windows update but I think the Vista HP SP1 by itself is rather stable regardless. I was going to have them use the Windows 7 Beta but it can't be downloaded anymore from Microsoft's site and I don't want to use torrents. They'd have bought Vista themselves by now but with a kid on the way and moving, they can't shell out the dough right now and their comp is acting up.

Yes, you can legally install Vista on any computer for a 30 day trial version that can be extended to 120 days total without activating Vista with a valid legal product key number. When this trial period is over, they will have to either do a clean reinstall and start over or activate Vista with a purchased valid legal product key number.
