Just got a new system today and will be running Vista home premium 64 bit mainly for games. Anyone got any tips or tricks for a first time user?

I'd suggest as well that you get into the habit of making regular backups either to an external hard drive or DVDs whichever you have and always make sure that you are up to date with all updates, your operating system ones as well as your anti virus/anti spyware software. ;)

I did have a problem with my surround sound last night. It works fine in games and such but will not work in Windows media player and media centre. Will have to play around with it and see what I can do.
