Help... Sidebar going crazy

Hi,
I have been using Vista for the past 3 months without a problem. Recently my sidebar has gone corrupt. All it shows is the orange date gadget. I have (12*5) 60 of those calendars appearing on my sidebar. Each time I try to close one, the system freezes for a few seconds and then the gadget comes back on.

I tried restarted sidebar, restarting my computer etc but it didnt help. I can add new gadgets and remove them, but I can't remove those 60 instances of the orange calendar.

The attachment shows what it looks like.
