windows has stopped working

Sorry new at this....
Running vista basic...problem is after logging onto account I cannot load desktop icons, start menu and continually receive WINDOWS EXPLORER HAS STOPPED WORKING...WINDOWS IS RESTARTING...over and over...HELP

Is this a new laptop? Has it been running fine before but now it doesn't? Is this the first time you are running it?

If you were to post your system specs and give us a little more detailed information on what's going on, we may proceed to help you better.

All I can speculate now is to try to do a system restore or system repair.
