hi, when i restart my laptop i get a message - your user profile was not loaded correctly, you have been logged on with a temporary profile etc. also any documents i saved in Works have gone, this has happened every time i restart my laptop and i have lost alot of work. i log on with my admin account so i don't know what is going on. please help, i daren't mess with things because i don't know much about computers. thanks.

Hello Sambeefy, and welcome to Vista Forums.
Since you say you do not know much about computers, then you might try doing a System Restore at boot (Method Two) using a restore point dated before this error to try and fix it.
If that does not help, then you can try this tutorial if comfortable doing it.
