How do i change voltage to the DDR?

I reinstalled vista home premium 32bit and just when i was finish i got this text


The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected
Error. Windows Installation cannot proceed,. To install Window, click
“OK” to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.

i red somwhere that it would fix to change the voltage to DDR and now i wonder how do i change it?:confused:


I have BIOS version V1.0B

I have BIOS version V1.0B

If you overclocked the RAM then you manually have to change the voltage inside the BIOS or one of the supplied programs from the motherboard disk.

I did not overclock i reinstalled windows only. änd a got that error messege, I want to know where i can change the voltage to my ram-mem?

If you have high end DDR2 then yes you may need to change the voltage as your mobo will have it set to 1.8v default , some ram runs at 2.1-2.3v , but you'll need to check your ram specs first

you will be able to change it your bios in the overclocking or advanced settings you'll have to research that yourself with your mobo manual

remember check your ram specs before any changes

ok what motherboard do you have and what memory? Ill need the model number and type of both your ram and mobo , ill tell you whether or not you need to change the voltage and if you do ill tell you how.

I will NEED all the info you have on both the ram and mobo including any revision numbers for the motherboard without these i cant help
