Power Saving Changing Settings on it's Own.

Has anyone else experienced this one, and know why it does it?

90% of the time, Vista executes my power saving scheme just fine, wakes up from sleep mode just fine etc. Periodically I will come in after several hours and the system should be in sleep mode, and I'll find the screen saver running though. When I check the power saving settings, turning off the monitor and turning off the hard drives have both been set to "never", rather than 20 minutes and 30 minutes as I had them set.

I'm running a hardware firewall on my router, as well as Norton Internet Security 2009, and I'm virus free, so it's not an intrusion issue. Vista just randomly seems to change the power saving settings and I can't figure out why.

To answer the question I've seen posted in other posts about power saving issues, no I didn't have any tasks scheduled to run, but even if I did, it should just wake the computer up to run them, not change my power saving options to never right?

Nevermind. (Not that I was getting any responses anyway ;) In doing extensive research, it appears that some software programs have compatibility issues with Vista and when ran, will automatically change the power saving settings. Some software companies have addressed the issue while others have not. Now the problem becomes figuring out which software I have that is switching the settings and then finding a patch.
