home premium 64 to ultimate 64

Is there any way to upgrade from home premium 64 to ultimate 64? I feel kind of silly asking this question because it seems like it should be so simple, but I cannot figure it out.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Troy

Anyhow, Ultimate just has extra features in particular a vast language pack and an bit encryptor for the hard drive which I haven't used yet & some minor silly features that are good if your picky with sounds & screensavers. Ultimate also supports ram size up to 128+GB's while the Premium only up to 16 or 32GB's (I forgot) . You choose.

Ultimate has shadow copy, Complete Pc backup and restore, Group policy editor, Security policy editor, bitlocker, dvd playback codecs/hd codecs- these are the important features over premium.

Well, that's even worse because I just understand why the hell Microsoft wouldn't include any Security, pc backup & restore features?!?!

Basically there is absolutely no point on purchasing a Basic/Premium version only if the user completely clueless about Windows.

well, Ultimate is designed for advanced users where Premium is designed mostly for inexperienced users (mainsteam Users), who just want basic features and media center capablity (it is equivalent to XP's MCE versions). Basic is for systems lacking the required hardware specs needed to run Vista (as originall designed). Basic was a marketing gimmick that Intel cooked up as they had a huge surplus of non-vista capable chips they had to sell (xp chips), so Microsoft came up with the basic version so they could get rid of those chips. Basic has less features than even XP Home.
