I'm having a problem I can't find in the forums. I'm using Vista Home Premium x64 and have lost the column header bars in Explorer. I've tried changing the template for the folder, but nothing works. This is what is looks like...

This is the "all items" template, but they all look like this.

if you want to reset it back, try a System Restore to "undo" the changes.

Thanks, but I don't want to do that just yet. I've been installing programs the last few days. It's a new computer, new Vista install, and I don't want to step backwards. I'll do it if I can't find a better solution, though. I was hoping that there was a setting in Vista I missed somewhere. So far, I like what I've seen in Vista, but some of the more obvious things I used in XP are still hiding from me.

One more point....

I just found out that the header bars are there in the "save as" folders. Just not in the normal explorer windows.

Well, I found it. I'm pretty old school and had set the theme to Windows Classic. I guess Vista doesn't like that. I switched back to Windows Aero and everything came back.

I guess it's time to change and move ahead with the technology.

I know, I know. I've been hanging on by the fingernails, but they're bleeding and sore. I'm moving ahead, but not without a lot of kicking and screaming. :sa:  :sleepy: :zip:
