BSOD At start up, NEW COMPUTER!

Hello,
I'm not too good with computers, so bear with me.
I just recently bought a new Gateway computer with Windows Vista 64, I haven't really done too much with it, installed a few programs, put some pictures on it, and downloaded music. My computer started just turning off randomly about a week ago and after about three attempts to turn it back on it finally stayed on. Last night it did it again, and after about four attempts to turn it on it went CAPOOT! It offered me to do a system restore, which I did, then it worked again. About a half hour later, turned off then kept giving me two options at start up: Start Windows Normally, or System Repair (recommended). I obviously choose system repair, and it runs this "repair" for about 15 minutes, then says "failed to repair, send an error report"..so I do, restart, then after doing this about 5 times it tried to restart Windows Normally on it's own, then I get the BSOD (I'm guessing that means, BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH)..It's driving me crazy, I bought this computer on Feb 2nd, 2009.

Please help if you can!!

Brook:cry:

You may see a whole bunch of DMP files in your \Windows\Minidump folder. Each one is a summary of info about one particular crash instance. If you copy a few of the latest DMP files to somewhere else, then zip them up and upload them here, someone might be able to tell you more about why the machine is crashing.

Will it boot into safe mode? (press F8 when you see the first mention of "Windows" during the boot)
