| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 : Seven Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista x64 Home SP1 System Restore query Are you referring to a complete system restore or a restore point? A restore point will affect installed applications, but it shouldn't touch your download folder etc. Try creating a download folder outside of the users directory. Also try manually creating a restore point before installing lots of apps. That way if something breaks, you wont lose as much when you restore. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Vista x64 Home SP1 System Restore query well yeah that's exactly what i was thinking but i've never used Vista X64 before and it's seeming to only do it on this exact OS. Vista x86 doesn't do it, XP x86(never tried x64) doesn't do it but only Vista :/ hell i even tried reinstall my OS before and it still did it. |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 : Seven Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista x64 Home SP1 System Restore query I'm running Vista x64 and it hasn't done it... Which folder were your documents / downloads in? ie c:\Users\yourname\Documents c:\Users\yourname\Downloads Or were they in a temp folder? Restore deletes files from temp folders. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Vista x64 Home SP1 System Restore query they were in C:/users/MyName/(folder names) also the weird Unamed network thing will never end and someone said a fix earlier but that isn't permanent. It'll randomly connect and this diconnect to this unidentified network it has local and internet access and will randomly appear then dissapear. During these times it'll dc me from any MMO i'm playing which is very bad as a dc=death and death is bad. I've never had this issue in XP, Ubuntu, Xubuntu, backtrack only Vista x64 HP SP1 on my Asus laptop. I don't get why it's doing that either. |
