Hello to all.
My first post here .....Woohoo.
I'm running Vista Business, and would like to know where to go and how to maneuver around in order to figure out the size of the harddrive.
Thank you very very much for your help in advance.

In Vista it is even easier! Click on Computer and under your HDD (the C: drive) it will tell you X00 free of Y00.

Format/re-install is easy. Just make sure to have the drivers ( and sata drivers for loading at boot If you have SATA drives).
Its as easy as popping the disk in, restarting, hiting any key to boot from disk (or booting into recovery partition and reinstalling.

I was thinking zebian2 wanted to just format the HDD and see if all would cool like it was when he/she took rig out of box

Hello to all again.
First of all I'd like to say that I'm grateful to all of you and truly appreciate the prompt responses and the kinds of the folks on this forum.
What I really wanted to do is to bring the Vaio I've to the original condition when I took it out of the box. With no 3rd parties software.
Thank you again.

Then format/delete the partition(s), and re-install Vista into the unpartitioned space.

Is there an easier way to put it? (little more complicated for me) since I don't have any discs to reboot.
Thank you again.

Hi,

As that is a manufacturer preinstall, surely you have a recovery program , and partition on the HD already?

The manual will tell you, there is probably also a way to run off recovery discs. Make sure you do that first.

You can use a free app. to remove a lot of junk:

Welcome | The PC Decrapifier

The PC Decrapifier will uninstall many of the common trialware and annoyances found on many of the PCs from big name OEMs. Here is the current list of software and items that the PC Decrapifier can detect and remove. You get to see the list of items it detects and then choose what will be removed automatically.

Hope it helps
