No dual boot after hibernation

I sometimes boot up my Vista computer with Linux running from USB disk.

However, when Vista is hibernated [rather than complete shutdown], I can't boot up with Linux, it always starts with Vista.

Is there any solution?

Shut down the computer first.

When you hibernate, all it does is enter a powersaving mode. NOT shutdown. When it loads up again, you never load the BIOS, it automatically loads from the OS.

If you want to boot to Linux, you HAVE to shut down first.

Or run a VM.
