Vista - can I delete the temp folder.

Hey Wats up im new to this website ....
i have
a windows vista basic 32bit
and im in desperate need of memory
I HAVE 249 MB LEFT ON MY COMPUTER
i was wondering
IF I COULD DELETE THE TEMP FOLDER
LOCATED IN
C DRIVE/WINDOWS/TEMP
SO IS IT SAFE TO DELTE THE FOLDER OR NOT SAFE
SO CAN I GET SOME HELP

Right click on MY computer icon and select tools.
There will be an option saying disk cleanup or something similar, I am at work now so I can not see a Vista machine and tell you the exact syntax.

This will allow you to remove the temp folders and also give you other option for cleaning your C drive.

This will not give you alot of space back so you are better off backing up your pictures and documents to a cd or removing programs that you have not used for a long time.

2 things.

1 Update your system spec.
2 When asking a question instead of having a title like "needs help" or something similar make the title give us an idea of what is up.

goto run and type %temp% you can see all the temp folders and files you can delete all these things ( nothing to worry).if u goto c:\users u can see different profiles you can clear those is not necessary.this will help u ......

If you are still having problems disable the restore points as these can take up a nice bit of space.

you can check for page file size and can reduce a little bit.
