From Vista to XP

Hi Ppl,

I am thinking of downgrading my Kohjinsha SH6 lappy from Vista to Xp as the processor is weak in supporting Vista.
When I bought this lappy, it doesnt come with recovery disc and only has a hidden partition with the recovery in my hdd.
So right now, if i want to downgrade to Xp and do a reformat to install Xp, will it wipe off the hidden partition where the recovery is?The way that I will reinstall Xp will be thru using cd rom and I guess Xp disc will prompt me to reformat the c drive b4 installing Xp...

Can someone help?

Thanks alot!

Reinstalling XP onto the C: Volume may at the very least Kill the Recovery partition boot from the current Vista Volume (partition). (i.e., F2)

You have two choices:

1. Image the drive (all partitions) and save the backup, then delete the Drive partitions and reinstall XP (this may require booting into Vista disk and formating Vista/Recovery Partition first):
The advantage to this is that you just created a complete PC Vista Backup and Restore Image on Disk/external HDD that can be used to re-install Vista (and all partitions) at a later time-including the ability to perform a "factory Install" from the recovery partition.

2. Dual boot Vista/XP:
