I have vista 64, I have customized my desktop icons, everytime I change something or download a program my desktop icons change...How can I stop this.

Desktop icons keep changing

Try stardock fences. It working for me and it has the added feature of Dbl-clicking the desktop will hide/reveal icons that you choose. I have noticed that whenever I change my graphics drivers I have the same problem which is why I downloaded fences.

Well, this may surprise (or disappoint) you, but I had the same problem that was SOLVED by itself when I went from IE7 to IE8. Really!!!
