Vista Recovery

New Member
Recently, my Vista x32 crashed.
I deleted it and put on Windows XP.
(This was three days ago)
I now wish to go back to Vista, as I didn't expect this and never planned to turn to XP.
A vista CD did not come with my laptop, but I have a serial.

My friend had Vista and when he installed it, it would only be compliant with the serial number it came with.

Is there any way to recover my Vista?

Hi,

If you wish to reinstall Vista, and you have a valid product key, you can use your key with any proper installation media.

So you could borrow someone else's M$ installation dvd and use your product key.

If you are using the key stickered on your machine, you may need to ring the manufacturer to activate it.

make sure you didnt wipe all paritions and ask the OEM manufacture for help doing a factory recovery of the unit.

if you have wiped the recovery parition then you are pretty much done for unless they will sell you a recovery cd

and to the op did u create system restore disks when u first got the computer?

ifnnot then your best bet would be to borrow a install cd and use the key u have on the system.
