Device name grayed out in Fax settings

Hi all,

I am trying to setup Windows Fax and Scan, and Device name grayed is out in Fax and settings, can't select new fax device.

I am the administrator.

Searching the web I only found 1 thread, and whoever responded asked:
"Did you elevate your permissions through UAC when you tried this?"

I am new to Vista, how do I do that?, I had UAC turned off, now I turned back to on.
