Can someone please help me out with my problem, I am trying to boot into my Windows Vista Operating System, and it seems to freeze before the Welcome screen appears, is there a way that I can fix, this, the problem started straight after I had uploaded some pics from my Digital camera, I had already scanned the hard drive and I only found trojan horse virus in it, which is only one virus, can there be any other way to fix this?

Only 1 virus can be devastating depending on what virus it is and you DO NOT want to leave any virus on your system. Viruses can be used to hijack your system and give control of your system to the virus author, slow your system to a crawl, steal sensitive information such as credit card numbers or passwords, or spy on your web surfing.

The first and foremost thing you need to do is install a reputable virus protection program such as Kapersky, Norton or Trend Micro and get rid of that virus. You may be able to boot into safe mode and install from there. If so, hopefully the scanner will find and remove the virus during installation so you can boot into normal mode and run a full scan. Virus scanners have to install services and drivers to work usually, and those don't function under safe mode since you are loading only the basic services and drivers needed for windows to run under safe mode.

Once you have stomped that virus out, you will probably be able to boot normally and use your system.

Before, I could go into safemode, now when I want to it loads up to this part "\windows\system 32\drivers\crcdisk.sys" what could be the problem now?

You may have to boot from your Windows Vista disk and go into the tools menu and restore to an earlier system restore point, then try safe mode again. You can also try running a system repair from the Vista disk and see if that will let you boot into safe mode if a restore point won't.

Just in case you aren't familiar with how to do that, simply put your Vista disk into the CD drive, then reboot your system and during boot press the key to go into the BIOS setup screen. (Usually Delete). Then go into boot options and set the optical drive as the first boot device. Save the change and reboot your system. During boot you should see a prompt that says "press any key to boot from CD". Hit any key on your keyboard at that prompt and it will boot from the Vista disk. Once the disk loads, you will see options to install Windows or go to System tools. (or something similar. I don't remember the exact verbiage.) Go to system tools and you will see both repair and restore as options.

I'd try probably try restore first and pick a restore point prior to the problem starting. If that doesn't resolve it, try a repair. Either way, once you get it to boot, get some AV software installed and scan that sucker and get the virus off of there!

Repair/Re-install Vista, and use a good antivirus/antimalware program like NOD32 or Avira.
If you restore, and are able to access vista without issues, Install NOD32 immediately (or whatever program you want- obviously your current protection isnt very good), and remove the infection.
NOD32 4 has 30 day trial. I would doewnload and use this to clean your system.

You must DELETE (turn off system restore), upon a sucessful boot into vista.

Steps:

1.Download .exe for NOD32
2.Restore with Recovery Utility ( preferably to a point before you were infected). (vista disk/recovery partition)
3. Install/update and run NOD32
