How can I add an item to the system tray so that when you click on it a pop up/window appears? Any advice/help is welcomed.
Which are programs that you already have running, this was mentioned in one of the posts. No I dont mean the Quick Launch. I mean the icons right beside the clock.
I apologize for posting what is a late reply, but in case anyone is misled by the advice on this thread, I am posting a reply. Incidentally, there are other threads in the forum that give the same advice below.
You can add any program to the notification area without any third party software.
Right click the start button, then the properties, then you will the see the notification area drop down menu. You can add any program to the notification area, and set whether it will show only when the program is running or is always visible.
I lost my Google desktop icon, and came across this thread. It was easily added using the procedure above.
